Tony Parker & Eva Longoria, Married in France 7/7/07

Tony Parker, point guard for the NBA Champion San Antonio Spurs, married actress Eva Longoria, last weekend in France. They actually got married twice once on Friday, in a French court house, and we were aloud to see pictures of that. A second time on Saturday 7/7/07, in a Castle on the French countryside. Page Six reported that, OK magazine out bid People Magazine, and paid $2 million for the rights to the Parker/ Longoria wedding photos.

The story here, however, is not the star studded wedding in France, but what a , fantasy life Tony Parker has lead over the past 6 months. From France, he’s been playing for the Spurs for several years and has had his ups and downs as a player. He put it all together this year and his team won the NBA Championship, and he was voted the Most Valuable Player of the Finals Series. He was clearly the best player on the court for the last 6 weeks of the season. He also was the best player off the court and in his personal life, landing hottie Eva Longoria. Point guard on the NBA champions and MVP, marrying one of the most beautiful actress/ models in the business, having this fantasy wedding, with all kinds of movie, TV, and Sports stars in attendance. I couldn’t imagine how a guy could be much happier… Oh, and he’s also a millionaire.
So here’s to Tony Parker, the biggest hero of the year, too bad he’s French. I’m not a big fan of the French, but Tony may be an exception. By the way I saw Eva a couple of weeks ago at a restaurant in Sunset Plaza, West Hollywood. I took my parents to Cafe Med, one of my favorite restaurants in LA. The crazy thing was, they had no idea who she was until I told them she’s the one getting married to that NBA player. I love it that the sports star has become more well known then his celebrity wife, even in LA. Another alarming thing is every time I see Eva in person, it is almost shocking how little she is. It doesn’t come across as much in photos and on TV, but she couldn’t be more then 5 foot tall and 100 lbs., and she’s marrying a basketball player. Go ahead Tony, I’m suddenly a fan. Just when I had given up on France, comes Tony Parker a French hero for American men.
